If you know anything about me you know that I love to ski. So on October 26, 2010, when Jeremy came home for lunch and announced that the mountain had received about 2 feet of snow, I said, "We're going skiing!" He didn't believe me that I was completely serious at first, but I eventually made it clear. We headed up the mountain (Desdemona's maiden Big Mtn. trip!) that evening to make some turns. We hiked up a couple hundred yards on Ed's Run and took one run down. Yes, it was fun. You can be sure I was careful, but even at 39 weeks the belly didn't seem to change my balance while skiing. I was more concerned about catching an edge, but don't worry, I was totally safe. Laelia was born one week after this. It was about skiing in October, it was about getting some bragging rights, and it was great!
I think this is our last picture together before Laelia arrived!

The bump!

And a couple of videos to entertain you:
The next post, I promise, will introduce Laelia!
